St. Thomas Aquinas was a 13th-century Italian Dominican friar, priest, and theologian, widely regarded as one of the greatest minds in the history of the Catholic Church. Born in 1225 in Roccasecca, Italy, he devoted his life to study, teaching, and the defense of the faith. His most famous work, the Summa Theologica, systematically explained Catholic theology and continues to influence Christian thought and philosophy today. St. Thomas Aquinas is remembered for his intellect, holiness, and dedication to the integration of reason and faith, earning him the title “Doctor of the Church.”
