St. Lucy, also known as St. Lucia, was a Christian martyr from Syracuse, Sicily, who is honored for her unwavering faith and dedication to the poor. She lived during the late 3rd and early 4th centuries and is remembered for her courage in the face of persecution under the Roman emperor Diocletian.
