Collection: 📚 St. Matthias

St. Matthias was chosen by the Apostles to replace Judas Iscariot, becoming one of the Twelve after the Ascension of Jesus. Though little is recorded about his early life, tradition holds that Matthias had been a devoted disciple of Jesus from the beginning of His ministry and a witness to the Resurrection. After being selected through prayer and the casting of lots, Matthias devoted his life to spreading the Gospel. Ancient traditions say he preached in Judea and other regions, enduring hardship and persecution for his faith. He is remembered for his fidelity, his role in continuing the mission of the Apostles, and his witness to Christ’s Resurrection.
