Collection: 📚 St. Paschal Baylon

St. Paschal Baylón was a Spanish Franciscan lay brother renowned for his profound devotion to the Holy Eucharist and his life of humility, prayer, and penance. Born into a poor shepherding family in Spain, he spent his youth tending sheep, often praying the Rosary and meditating on the Blessed Sacrament while in the fields. Though he had little formal education, his wisdom and holiness became widely recognized.

Joining the Franciscan Order as a lay brother, Paschal embraced humble tasks such as cooking, gardening, and serving the community. He frequently spent long hours in adoration before the Blessed Sacrament and became known for his mystical devotion to Christ in the Eucharist. Many miracles were attributed to him both during his life and after his death, and devotion to him spread rapidly throughout Spain and beyond.
