St. Gerard Majella was a humble Redemptorist brother known for his deep holiness, miracles, and extraordinary charity. Born in Muro Lucano, Italy, he served as tailor, cook, and doorkeeper for his order, yet became renowned for his spiritual gifts of prophecy, healing, and bilocation. He is especially beloved as the patron of expectant mothers, after miraculously saving both a mother and child through his intercession. His life was one of silent service, prayer, and total surrender to God’s will.
