St. Pancras (St. Pancracio)
St. Pancras was a young Christian martyr of the early Church, known for his courage, faith, and devotion to Christ. Born around the year 289 in Phrygia (modern-day Turkey), he was orphaned at a young age and moved to Rome with his uncle. There, Pancras converted to Christianity during a time of great persecution under Emperor Diocletian. Despite his youth—he was only about fourteen years old—he bravely refused to renounce his faith and was executed for his beliefs. His steadfast witness inspired many early Christians, and he became a symbol of youthful faith and strength.
