St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, known as Mother Cabrini, was born in Italy and became the first U.S. citizen to be canonized. A woman of deep faith and determination, she founded the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to serve immigrants, the poor, and the sick. Despite fragile health, she traveled tirelessly—establishing schools, hospitals, and orphanages across the United States, South America, and Europe. Guided by her trust in the Sacred Heart, she brought Christ’s love to countless people and became a symbol of compassion and perseverance.
