Our Lady of Knock is the title given to an apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary that took place in the small village of Knock, Ireland, in 1879. On the evening of August 21, fifteen witnesses saw Mary, St. Joseph, and St. John the Evangelist appear in silent prayer beside an altar with a lamb and cross. Though no words were spoken, the vision conveyed a message of faith, hope, and the presence of God in times of suffering. The apparition occurred during a period of hardship for the Irish people, offering them consolation and renewed devotion. Today, Knock Shrine is a major place of pilgrimage, where countless visitors seek peace, healing, and spiritual renewal.
