St. Sebastian
St. Sebastian was a 3rd-century Roman soldier and martyr, celebrated for his courage, faith, and loyalty to Christ. Born in Narbonne, Gaul, he served as an officer in the Roman army while secretly supporting and encouraging fellow Christians during a time of persecution. When his faith was discovered, Sebastian was ordered to be executed by being shot with arrows. Miraculously surviving, he continued to preach the Gospel until his final martyrdom. St. Sebastian is honored for his bravery, steadfast faith, and intercession for those suffering from illness and persecution.
