Collection: 📚 St. Peter (Simon the Apostle, The First Pope)

St. Peter, originally named Simon, was one of Jesus’ twelve apostles and is considered the first Pope of the Catholic Church. A fisherman by trade, he was called by Jesus to become “a fisher of men” and quickly became a leader among the apostles. Known for his strong faith, Peter also experienced moments of doubt, most famously denying Jesus three times before the Crucifixion, yet he was restored and strengthened by Christ. He courageously preached the Gospel, performed miracles, and guided the early Church in Rome, ultimately giving his life for his faith through martyrdom. St. Peter is remembered for his leadership, devotion, and steadfast witness to Christ.
