St. Thomas, also known as “Doubting Thomas,” was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus, remembered for his initial doubt of Christ’s resurrection and his subsequent profound declaration of faith. Born in Galilee, he was a devoted follower of Jesus and witnessed many of His teachings and miracles. After the Resurrection, Thomas traveled to preach the Gospel, traditionally reaching as far as India, where he established Christian communities. He is honored for his courage, missionary zeal, and honest struggle with doubt, which led to a deeper faith and trust in God.
