Collection: 📚 St. Pier Giorgio Frassati

St. Pier Giorgio Frassati was an Italian layman of the Third Order of St. Dominic whose joyful holiness, love for the poor, and deep Eucharistic devotion made him a model of Christian discipleship. Born into a prominent family in Turin, Italy, he combined an active social life and a love of mountain climbing with a profound commitment to prayer, charitable works, and Catholic Action. He quietly dedicated much of his time and resources to serving the sick, the poor, and the marginalized, often without his family's knowledge.

While studying engineering, Pier Giorgio sought to live the Gospel in every aspect of daily life. His friends remembered him for his contagious joy, humility, and unwavering faith. After contracting poliomyelitis—likely while serving the sick—he died at the age of twenty-four. At his funeral, thousands of the poor whom he had helped came to pay their respects, revealing the extent of his hidden charity.

His witness continues to inspire young people to pursue holiness through ordinary life, friendship, service, and love of Christ.
