Closed Saturday, August 15, for the Feast of the Assumption of Mary
St. Anthony’s will be Closed Saturday, August 15, in observance of the Solemnity of the Assumption of Mary into Heaven.
We will Reopen Monday at 9:30 am.
Each year on August 15, Catholics celebrate the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, one of the Church's greatest Marian feasts and one of the few Holy Days of Obligation. This year, however, because August 15 falls on a Saturday, the obligation transfers to Sunday. Still, Mass attendance is encouraged as a meaningful way to honor Our Lady. The Church recognizes the Assumption as one of her most important solemnities, and many Catholics choose to participate in the celebration regardless of the obligation.
