Collection: 📚 St. Thomas Becket

St. Thomas Becket was Archbishop of Canterbury and a fearless defender of the Church’s freedom against interference by the state. Once a close friend and chancellor to King Henry II of England, he underwent a profound conversion after becoming archbishop, choosing fidelity to Christ and the Church over royal favor. His steadfast resistance to unjust control of ecclesiastical matters led to his martyrdom in Canterbury Cathedral, where he was murdered by knights loyal to the king, sealing his witness with blood.
