St. Lucia Marto was one of the three children who witnessed the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary at Fatima, Portugal, in 1917. Along with her cousins, Francisco and Jacinta Marto, Lucia received messages from Our Lady, urging repentance, prayer, and devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Lucia's life was marked by a profound faith and devotion to the messages she received, which she spent much of her life sharing with others. She later became a nun and lived in religious communities, dedicating herself to prayer and penance for the conversion of sinners. St. Lucia is known for her deep spiritual life and for her role in spreading the message of Fatima to the world.
