Collection: ㅤSt. Martin de Porres

St. Martin de Porres was a humble Dominican lay brother from Lima, Peru, known for his deep charity, miraculous healings, and profound humility. Born the illegitimate son of a Spanish nobleman and a freed African woman, he faced racial prejudice but lived a life of extraordinary holiness, dedicating himself to caring for the sick, the poor, and even animals. Gifted with mystical abilities like bilocation and levitation, he remained deeply humble, often calling himself a “poor mulatto.” His life radiated the mercy and compassion of Christ, especially toward society’s most forgotten.
