Collection: ㅤSt. Joseph of Cupertino

St. Joseph of Cupertino was an Italian Franciscan friar known for his deep humility, simplicity, and mystical experiences, including frequent levitations during prayer. Often called the “Flying Saint,” his extraordinary spiritual gifts were balanced by a profound poverty of spirit and a love for the Eucharist. Despite his lack of formal education and initial struggles to become a priest, Joseph was finally ordained and spent much of his life in the remote friary at Cupertino. His extraordinary connection with God and his deep devotion to prayer earned him a reputation as a saint, particularly in his care for others through prayer and the Sacraments. St. Joseph is the patron saint of students, particularly those who struggle with learning, as he was himself an unlikely candidate for ordination due to his difficulties in study.
