St. John Eudes was a French priest known for his zealous preaching and devotion to the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. He founded the Congregation of Jesus and Mary (the Eudists) to train priests and promote missionary work, as well as the Sisters of Our Lady of Charity to care for marginalized women. His deep spiritual writings and tireless work for the renewal of clergy and Christian life left a lasting legacy in the Church.
