St. John Berchmans was a young Jesuit seminarian from Belgium known for his extraordinary holiness, humility, and dedication to simple, everyday tasks. Though he longed to become a missionary, he died of illness before completing his studies. His deep devotion to Mary, the Blessed Sacrament, and his emphasis on living with great fidelity to small duties made him a model for students and young people.
